Electro- and Mountainbiking

Discover Austria highest area for electric bikes, the so-called pedelecs, with nearly 100 Battery charging stations, including the highest charging stations in the Austrian Mountains: the Sticklerhütte (1752 meters) and Speiereckhütte (2066 meters).

Without much effort cyclists can discover either with electronic city-bikes or with electronic mountain bikes
mountain bike trails. You may opt for a guided tour or ride on your own. The Lungau rental shops offer the Pedelecs including a helmet and map.

If you would love to go on a cycling holiday, but there are members of your party with different fitness levels or ability, the E-Biike is the perfect solution. Its a normal mountain bike, which has been modified with an inconspicuous battery
pack. With four levels of acceleration, riders can coast downhill at their leisure, then use the battery to ride up the other side. It is the perfect way for experienced riders and novices to ride together and, with a network of recharging stations already in place, you can ride for more than 80km per day without fear of running out of battery life!

Rafting and Canyoning

Off you go! The Mur, Austria's second largest river, offers a variety of "lively" tracks! You may choose from rafting and kayaking courses, canoe trekking, canyoning and more. Expect from our tour guide modern boats, new first-class neoprene overalls with boots, jackets, vests and helmets, as well as plenty of experience.

Horseriding and trips in a carriage

At about 1000 meters above sea level this beautiful recreational area south of Salzburg is the ideal starting point for treks. Whether sitting on a horses back or in a comfortable carriage , you will enjoy the views of the wonderful landscape made for horse lovers.

Highest gliding airfield of Austria

At 1110m above sea level the Mauterndorf airfield is the highest gliding airfield in Austria and the ideal starting point for long distance gliding. Club members as well as guests appreciate the familial atmosphere. Our airfield offers aerotow as well as winch launch operation under suitable weather conditions. Even during midsummer we are lucky to provide release heights of 600m ensuring thermic flights. The Aviation Club Lungau (Sportfliegerclub Lungau) was founded in 1964 by
enthusiastic aviators. When the local wind, the Foehn, is blowing, we operate by winch launch. In these distinctive weather conditions our guests experience unforgettable Foehn glides and and primary waves.
