Snow to enjoy

Right in the middle of the fantastic ountains of Salzburg, between 1,740 m and 2,526 m, in Obertauern you will ind a gondola, 19 chair lifts and 6 ski lifts and perfect conditions from ate November to early May! There are 100 km of fabulous ski slopes and cross ountry skiing, top spa and fitness facilities and last but not least a wonderful carefree holiday atmosphere.

Snow time for adventurers

Even in the modern winter sports Obertauern has much to offer, such as the first snowkite school in Austria for beginners or advanced, or a long play park for snowboarders and there is something for everyone who likes Snowboarding: big kickers, rails, VW Bully, beginner lines and a fat corner.

For perfect ski-ing fun , a stopover in one of the really traditional huts is highly recommended. There you can end your ski day very comfortably and at the same time tune into the exciting nightlife. Obertauern is celebrated in every possible way. Every night.

Obertauern is called the "snow bowl of Austria" - the winter season lasts six months. Mountains of snow guarantee the best skiing conditions up to March and April. If you like to enjoy blue skies, sparkling white snow and lots of sunshine you would be well advised to try sun-skiing in Obertauern.  No freezing temperatures, but high spirits and perfect snow conditions are found on the 100 km of perfectly groomed slopes, combined with a delicious meal on the sun terraces of the huts, and the entertainment-rich après-ski which goes on into the night in funky bars and discos.
