Harvest Festival is a season of celebration

As colourful as the autumn itself, so are our traditions and customs mixed with modern ideas. Yellow larch trees, white mountain peaks and still green pastures are the scenery for the fantastic program of the harvest festival. The harvest festival is a local festival we like to share with our guests. It is a source of joy for all all Harvest Festival visitors:

You will find music, folk costumes, arts and crafts, local customs, together with mouth-watering regional delights brought to us by the Lungau farmers and innkeepers. Whether at a parade of livestock returning from the high country, or at a Harvest Festival service you will encounter musicians everywhere, striking up the authentic tones of the
Alps.

All together a remarkable mix, preserving the tradition and at the same time leaving the tradition space to
grow. A highlight is the harvest of the one-of-a-kind potato called the Lungau Eachtling. The Lungau Eachtling potatoes are known for their quality and taste and are a perfect side dish for the autumn Schafaufbrateln (sheep roast).
